◎简 介
杰克-卡特(迈克尔凯恩饰）一直以为人讨债、做代理为生。他能力超群，总是喜欢一人独居。但当他的兄弟在一桩“意外事件”中遇难后，他回到了那个被他遗弃的“卡特”家----去偿还那永远也还不清的“债”，解开那萦绕在他心灵中的兄弟遇害之谜。
对于杰克来说，回到西雅图的家是一次弥补过失的机会。他联系上了他兄弟的妻子格洛里亚(米兰达-理查森饰)和她十多岁的女儿多琳(雷切尔-利-库克饰)。她们对他的这一举动很感疑惑。但当他发现兄弟的死整个是个谋杀时，他回来的目的很快从赎罪转向了复仇。
杰克终于与多琳达成了和解，多琳也开始帮他，带他深入到城里的那些阴暗角落，到一个充满了欺骗性、到处漂溢着虚假的世界。卡特曾想向那些罪恶伸张正义，但是他越深入了解到事件的真相，越对自己的动机开始怀疑。他非但没有复仇，反而起了宽仁之心，直到最终又开始了赎罪。Video
