　　这是好莱坞继《南方公园》后又一部开涮力作。原来，美国有一个奋力维护世界和平的组织在保护我们的世界，那就是――环球特警组！这次，环球特警组又将重拳出击。特警组总部收到了可靠消息，世界某个角落里的一名患有“权力饥渴症”的类似于希特勒的独裁者正在向世界各地的恐怖组织兜售大规模杀伤性武器，企图以此制造混乱从中谋利。 特警组的队员很多已为人所熟悉，所以特警组决定招募新人去完成这次的间谍任务。这个名额自然落到了极具表演天赋的百老汇演员加里（催•帕克 Trey Parker 饰）身上。加里首次出战就成功潜入了一个军火交易商的基地。他发现恐怖分子已经开始大量购得大规模杀伤性武器，而黑幕后的独裁者竟然是……

　　《美国战队：世界警察》的故事设定用一部动作影片的角度去看，可以说是再循规蹈矩不过了，然而这里真正的奇妙之处就在于，影片中的角色清一色由牵线木偶来饰演，而其幕后制作则是《南方公园》的原班人马。虽然是木偶，导演特雷·帕克同样赋予给它们人的性格特征：乔来自于内布拉斯州立大学，这位曾是球队四分卫的校园明星是天生的领导型人才；莎拉毕业于伯克利学院，对事物拥有着敏锐的感知力和洞察力；克里斯则是来自于底特律的自由搏击专家；莉莎曾在普林斯顿大学主修心理学，专门研究恐怖分子的犯罪心理--再加上新入队的加里，构成了这样一个世界级顶尖的警察队伍，他们在指挥官鲍茨伍德的带领下为了“世界和平”而劳碌奔波。由于故事中最大的反派是现实世界的金正日，给影片的在世界各地的公映带来了障碍。
